Legal Requirement
WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH (CONSTRUCTION) REGULATION 2006
Sec 7 (2)
No person shall be employed to oversee or supervise any work or process carried out in a worksite unless he has received adequate safety and health training for the purpose of familiarizing him with the hazards associated with such work and the precautions to be observed.
Sec 7 (3)
It shall be the duty of the employer or the principal, if the person is working under the direction of the principal to comply with the regulation.
Training Objectives
This course is to train persons (construction site foreman and supervisors) who wish to act as Safety Supervisors in the building and construction industry. By the end of the course, participants would be familiar with the hazards and preventive measures for safe work in the building and construction industry
