Legal Requirement

Any person operating a crane shall not hoist any load unless he has received a clear signal from a signalman

No person shall be appointed as a signalman unless he has successfully completed a training course approved by the Commissioner

Training Objectives

Signalman Course is aimed at providing participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure a safe and proper slinging and control maneuver for lifting of materials and equipment
